Blogmas Day 4 - Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

Don't worry, I'm not going to start singing to you to the tune of "My Grown-Up Christmas List".

This is a different kind of letter...I'm not even going to ask you for anything!

This is a letter to tell you that I regret not asking for socks, because those have proven to be an incredibly useful item, and I've found that I'm completely incapable of holding on to a pair for longer than a couple of months.

I also wanted to thank you for all of the cool toys that you gave me, and that I recently went through boxes and boxes of them at my parents house and had to dwindle my stash down to just my few favorites, 25 years later. Do you know how hard that is?! You have impeccable taste.

I'm sorry I never wrote you any thank you letters. My mom always was very diligent about writing down what gifts we got from whom and we had to then spend hours after Christmas handwriting thank you notes... but I don't recall ever writing you one. What a thankless job you have!

I do want to give you a suggestion. The whole judgement precedent thing you've got going on... I think you need to revise it. Naughty or Nice are currently your only options... I feel like there's quite a bit of grey area in between those two that should be accounted for.

Lastly, I wanted to let you know that I have too much stuff. You see, I'm trying to live a more minimalistic lifestyle, so If you do decide to come this year, if you could take some of my stuff back up the chimney that would be very much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Anna
